Be More Nulty with the Power of Music Foundation
We’d like to bring an amazing cause to your attention – The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation.
It exists to not only honour the short life of beloved friend to all, Sarah Nulty. But to also continue her legacy, of providing happiness through music, and helping socially and economically disadvantaged people work on their musical talents.
Sarah arrived in our hometown of Sheffield as a student in 1999. A lover of music, she soon rose from bar work to managing venues and events all across town. Sarah, most notably, was also one of the founders of Tramlines and in 2013 was appointed Festival Director.
As we all know, Tramlines is well and truly one of the jewels in Sheffield’s crown, giving emerging talent time to shine whilst giving thousands a weekend to remember! Sarah’s work brought people together and made them happy through the art of music. This foundation exists to keep that amazing work going in her name, and to ultimately #BeMoreNulty.
What your donations will do…
They’ll fund initiatives and projects that help disadvantaged people improve their lives through music. It’ll also fund music classes in the community and provide grants for local schools to buy instruments.
Future goals also include supporting the development of live music, and championing women in the music industry.
Learn more about who is eligible for the grants and what your donations can achieve here.
How you can help
Any amount you can afford to donate through TotalGiving will make such a huge difference. You can even donate, at no cost to yourself, via Amazon Smile. Your shopping experience is the same, however Amazon automatically donates 0.5% to the Foundation – here‘s how to do it.
Please keep this foundation in mind and do what you can to support. It exists purely to spread joy across our town, through the power of music, whilst honouring an amazing woman.
Let’s all #BeMoreNulty.
